How to Stop the Game Entering Fullscreen Before the Main Menu

What the Mod Changes

Normally the game may switch to fullscreen while it is still loading, which can hide the loading screen, cause a black flash, or make the window jump around while mods are still initialising. This mod holds off the fullscreen switch until the main menu is actually being displayed. You do not configure this — it is handled automatically.

What You Should Notice

With the mod installed, the window stays in its normal windowed state during loading, showing the loading screen and the timer. Only when the main menu is ready does the game go fullscreen. If you previously saw the screen go black or resize mid-load, that behaviour should now be gone.

If Fullscreen Still Behaves Oddly

  • Make sure you are not forcing fullscreen through a launcher argument or an external tool, as that can override the mod's timing.
  • Check that no other mod is also managing window or display state, since two mods fighting over fullscreen can produce inconsistent results.
  • If the game never goes fullscreen at all, verify your normal fullscreen setting is still enabled in the game's video options.

This behaviour exists purely to make the loading phase visible and stable.
