How to Read Your Minecraft Startup Time Report

Where the Number Appears

Once Minecraft finishes loading and you reach the main menu, the Startup Time Mod prints the total load duration. Depending on your setup, this shows up either as an on-screen overlay near the menu or as a line in the game log. If you do not see it on screen, open your latest log file and look near the end of the loading sequence for the startup time entry.

Understanding What the Number Means

This figure is the wall-clock time from the moment the game begins initializing until loading completes. It is not a benchmark score, so treat it as a relative measurement for your own machine. A single reading tells you little on its own; the value comes from comparing runs.

Making the Reading Useful

  • Note the time right after a fresh launch with no changes.
  • Change one thing at a time (add a mod, remove a mod, adjust allocated memory).
  • Relaunch and compare the new figure against your baseline.
  • Keep a simple text note of each result so you can spot trends.

Because load time varies with disk speed, background programs, and Java warm-up, run each configuration more than once and compare averages rather than single launches.
