Star Worm Equestrian FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I find and tame my first horse?
Horses spawn naturally in suitable biomes; approach one and use the bonding mechanic by interacting with it repeatedly to build trust. Once bonded, you can mount and begin training it to respond to your commands.
What's the difference between the gaits and when should I use each one?
Different gaits (walk, trot, canter, gallop) affect your horse's speed and stamina consumption; use walk for precise control and exploration, trot for steady travel, and gallop for speed when your horse has built up enough stamina and training.
My horse won't eat from the feeder—what am I doing wrong?
Make sure you've placed food in a functional feeder or trough and that your horse has access to it; horses also need water from troughs or buckets, so check both food and water systems are set up.
How do I equip tack and what does each piece do?

Yes, foals are part of the mod; breed compatible horses and they will produce foals that grow over time and inherit traits from their parents.
What's the training system and how do I improve my horse's skills?
Training involves bonding with your horse through regular interaction and riding; as your horse trains, it becomes more responsive to gaits, jumps, and commands, unlocking better performance.
How many horse coat colors are there and can I see them all?
There are 112 coats available in-game ranging from solid colors like bays and grays to patterned variants like splashes, with some secret coats hidden for players to discover.
Do the wings and special armors actually do anything or are they cosmetic?
Winged armor is functional and allows flight, while many other cosmetic armors are purely visual; check the Armor Rack to see which pieces provide protection versus decoration.
How do I set up a proper stable for multiple horses?
Build stalls using Stall Doors, place feeders and troughs inside, and use Pasture Blankets in your chosen color to create a cohesive stable area; organize Saddle, Bridle, and Armor Racks nearby for easy tack management.
Why is my horse moving slowly or not responding to controls?
Your horse may be tired (low stamina), hungry, thirsty, or not fully trained yet; ensure it's well-fed, watered, and has adequate bonding/training before attempting advanced gaits or jumps.
