Set Your Respawn Point Using the Starter Bed

Use the Bed Before Night Falls

The starter house includes a bed so you can set your respawn point safely on your first night:

1. Enter the generated wooden shelter at your spawn point

2. Locate the bed inside the house

3. Right-click the bed to sleep in it

4. This sets your spawn point to that bed location

5. If you die later, you'll respawn at this bed instead of the world spawn

Why This Matters

Setting your respawn point early protects you from losing progress. Without a bed set, dying sends you back to the world spawn, which might be far from your current base as you explore and build.

After Your First Night

Once you've slept in the starter bed and established your respawn point, you can:

  • Explore freely knowing you have a safe return location
  • Build your own base elsewhere
  • Craft new beds for other locations as you expand
  • The starter house remains as a landmark or storage point
