Use Enchanted Books from Spawners Effectively

Understand Spawner-Dropped Books

When a spawner drops an enchanted book, it contains a random enchantment applied at levels between 10 and 20. These books function like any other enchanted book—they can be applied to tools, weapons, or armor using an anvil.

Apply Books to Your Gear

Use an anvil. Place your tool or armor in the anvil's left slot and the enchanted book in the right slot. The enchantment transfers to your item, consuming the book.

Combine with existing enchantments. If your tool already has enchantments, the anvil will merge them (if compatible). Higher-level enchantments from spawner books can upgrade existing lower-level versions.

Plan your upgrades. Save spawner books for gear you use frequently—your main pickaxe, sword, or armor set.

Manage Duplicate Enchantments

If you receive multiple books with the same enchantment, you can combine them in an anvil to create a higher-level version, or distribute them across different tools. Store excess books in a chest for future use when you craft new equipment.

These books provide a valuable alternative to traditional enchanting, especially early game.
