Spawners Drop Treasure Data Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need to do anything to activate the mod or does it work automatically?
The data pack works automatically once installed—just break any spawner and it will drop treasure loot according to the custom loot table. No configuration or commands are needed to get started.
Can I get emeralds from spawners in the Nether?
No, emeralds only drop from spawners in the Overworld. In the Nether, you'll get Blaze Rods instead of emeralds as part of the loot pool.
What enchantment levels can the books have?
The enchanted books dropped from spawners have enchantment levels between 10 and 20, randomly determined each time you break a spawner.
Is there a way to increase the chance of getting specific items like emeralds?
The loot table is fixed in this data pack, so all items have equal drop chances—there's no built-in way to weight certain drops higher than others.
Do spawners in different biomes drop different loot?
Only the Overworld/Nether distinction matters: Overworld spawners can drop emeralds while Nether spawners drop Blaze Rods instead. Other biomes don't have special loot variations.
Will the enchanted books have useful enchantments or random ones?
The books are enchanted using the standard Enchanting Table function, so they receive random enchantments just like books from an enchanting table would—you might get anything from Unbreaking to Mending.
Does this mod work with mob farms or custom spawners?
The data pack applies to all spawner blocks, so it works with both naturally generated spawners and player-built mob farms using spawner blocks.
Can I disable the treasure drops for certain spawner types?
This data pack doesn't have built-in options to disable drops for specific spawner types—all spawners use the same loot table.
Do I lose the spawner block when I break it, or can I collect it?
Breaking a spawner with this data pack gives you the treasure loot; the spawner block itself cannot be collected (this is standard Minecraft behavior).
Will this cause lag if I break many spawners at once?
The data pack uses a simple loot table system and shouldn't cause performance issues, but breaking large quantities of spawners simultaneously may have the same lag as any other bulk block-breaking activity.
