Reduce Lag by Limiting Nearby Entities Around Spawners

Set Entity Count Caps

When spawners run unchecked, they can create massive entity counts that tank performance. Use the mod's entity limiting feature to maintain a playable frame rate.

1. Open your configuration file

2. Find the maximum nearby entity limit setting

3. Set a reasonable cap — this prevents the spawner from spawning new mobs if the entity count nearby already exceeds this number

4. Save and reload

Why This Matters

Once your cap is reached, the spawner will pause until entities die or despawn, naturally regulating mob population. This is far more effective than letting spawners run wild and then trying to cull mobs manually. Adjust the cap based on your farm's purpose: grinder farms can handle higher counts, while general mob farms benefit from lower limits to maintain smooth gameplay.
