Set Up Your Quick Equipment Slots for Combat

Assign Your Four Equipment Slots

The Equipment Selector gives you four quick-access slots arranged directionally on your screen. Each slot serves a specific purpose during combat:

• Right arrow key: Cycles through weapons in your hotbar. Use this to swap between your primary weapon and alternatives without opening your inventory.
• Left arrow key: Cycles offhand gear. This works with offhand expansion mods, letting you switch shields, dual weapons, or utility items instantly.
• Up arrow key: Cycles spells. Preview icons appear so you can see which spell is active before casting.
• Down arrow key: Cycles consumables like food or scrolls. Press your dedicated consumption key to use the selected item immediately without right-clicking.

Optimize Your Hotbar Order

Arrange your hotbar so weapons, offhand items, and spells are grouped together. The mod cycles through whatever is in your hotbar, so logical ordering makes mid-combat swaps faster. Keep your most-used combat items near the beginning of each category so fewer presses are needed to reach them.
