Souls Combat HUD Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable the soulslike HUD after installing the mod?
The mod activates automatically when you load a world. The new HUD layout replaces your vanilla interface immediately—you'll see the soulslike bars, equipment slots, and player crest on screen. If you don't see it, check that the mod is loaded in your mods folder and restart your game.
What do the arrow keys do and can I rebind them?
Arrow keys cycle through your equipped items: right arrow switches weapons, left arrow cycles offhand gear, up arrow switches spells, and down arrow cycles consumables. You can rebind these keys in your controls settings menu under the mod's keybind section.
Why isn't my stamina bar showing up?
The stamina bar only displays when you have a compatible movement or combat mod installed that tracks stamina. Without one of these mods, the stamina bar won't appear even though the HUD is active. Check that your combat mod is properly loaded and compatible with this version.
How do I use the quick consumption key to eat food?
Press your designated consumption key (configurable in controls settings) to instantly eat food or drink potions from your consumable slot without holding right-click. This lets you heal during combat without interrupting your actions.
Can I see my teammates' health bars in multiplayer?
Yes—the mod displays real-time health gauges for party members on servers. Access the sortable party display screen to track all teammate health at once, though you'll need to be in a party system that the mod recognizes.
Does this mod work with magic mods?
Yes, the mana bar automatically connects with compatible magic mods to display your current mana in real time. If your magic mod is supported, mana will appear alongside stamina on your HUD.
What happens to my boss health bar with this mod?
The mod replaces the default boss health bar with a wide, soulslike boss meter that matches the action-RPG aesthetic. It functions the same way but looks more dramatic and takes up more screen space for better visibility.
Can I turn off parts of the HUD I don't want to see?
The mod includes customization options to hide or reposition individual HUD elements like the player crest, experience bar, or air meter. Check the mod's configuration settings to disable features you don't use.
Why do my equipment slots show empty even though I have items?
Equipment slots pull from your hotbar and compatible mod systems—make sure the items you want to cycle are in your hotbar or that your offhand/spell mods are properly installed. Empty slots mean those items aren't available in the expected location.
Does this mod affect my FPS or cause lag?
The mod is designed to be lightweight and replace existing UI elements rather than add new ones, so performance impact is minimal. If you experience lag, try disabling unnecessary HUD elements in the config or check for mod conflicts with other UI mods.
