Do my items stay in the storage when it moves on a train?
Yes, items and settings are preserved when the storage block is in motion on a contraption. You don't need to empty it before assembling the contraption.
How do I apply an upgrade to a storage block that's already on a contraption?
Right-click the upgrade item directly onto the storage block while it's on the contraption. Most upgrades, including Pickup, Magnet, and crafting upgrades, work this way on moving storage.
Can I use tier upgrades to increase capacity while the contraption is moving?
Yes, you can right-click a tier upgrade onto the storage block even while it's in motion. The capacity increases without needing to stop or disassemble the contraption.
Why isn't my upgrade applying when I right-click the storage block?
Make sure you're right-clicking the storage block itself and not the contraption structure around it. Also confirm the upgrade is one that's supported on moving storage, since not every upgrade works in motion.
