Find Items Across Multiple Chests Quickly

Using Highlight to Locate Items

When you need to find a specific item stored somewhere in your base, use the Highlight feature to scan nearby chests without opening them.

Steps:

1. Hold the item in your hand, or open your inventory and look at the item you want to find

2. Press your configured Highlight key

3. Nearby chests will glow to show you where the item is stored:

• Green glow = chest contains the exact item you're looking for
• Blue glow = chest contains a similar item type (useful for finding variants)

Expanding Your Search Range

The mod highlights chests in a radius around you. If you don't see a glow, move closer to your storage area or check that the item is actually stored nearby.

Using JEI Integration

If you're browsing recipes in JEI, point your cursor at an item in the JEI menu and press Highlight. The mod will search for that item in your nearby storage without needing to hold it first. This is especially useful when planning builds or crafting.
