How do I start using this mod?
Open your controls/keybinds menu and assign keys for Highlight, Deposit, and Restock actions. Then point at any item in your inventory or hotbar and press your Highlight key to see which nearby chests contain it.
What's the difference between green and blue glowing chests?
Green glow means the chest has the exact same item you're looking for. Blue glow means it has a similar item type (like different wood types or enchanted variants of the same tool).
Can I use this mod with chests from other mods?
Yes, this mod works with most modded storage blocks including chests, barrels, and other containers from other mods.
How do I deposit items without opening chests?
Hold the item you want to store, point at it in your inventory, and press your Deposit key. All nearby chests will receive the items automatically.
What does holding Shift or Alt do when I press the keys?
Hold Shift to only affect your main inventory, or hold Alt to only affect your hotbar. This lets you control which part of your inventory gets searched or modified.
How do I fill empty slots in chests when depositing?
Hold Ctrl while pressing your Deposit key to put items into empty chest slots instead of stacking them with existing items.
Can I find items using the JEI menu?
Yes, point your cursor at an item in the JEI menu and press your Highlight key to find that item in nearby chests.
What happens if I press Restock but don't have the item yet?
Restock only works on items you're already holding—it refills your current stacks from nearby chests. To grab an item you don't have, use Highlight to find it, then manually pick it up or use Deposit in reverse.
Does this mod work with animal inventories like donkeys?
Yes, the mod can interact with donkey and llama inventories the same way it does with chests, allowing you to deposit and restock items from tamed animals.
Why isn't the mod finding items in my chests?
Make sure the chests are close enough to you (the mod searches nearby blocks), and check that you're pointing at or holding the correct item when you press Highlight. Also verify your keybinds are set correctly in the controls menu.
