Set Up a Passive Fishing Net Farm

Placement and Setup

Fishing Nets are a hands-off way to collect fish and other items while you explore or work elsewhere. Place a Fishing Net block directly into water—rivers, oceans, or even a custom pool all work.

Maximizing Your Catch

You can place multiple Fishing Nets in the same water source to increase yield. Deeper water and larger bodies tend to produce more varied catches over time. The net will passively collect fish and occasional items without requiring any interaction.

Harvesting

Right-click the Fishing Net block to collect your haul. The net resets and continues working immediately after. For an efficient farm, space nets around your base or near water features you already visit regularly. This way you can collect catches while doing other tasks.

Tips

Fishing Nets work best in natural water sources like oceans or rivers, but artificial pools work too. Consider building a small collection chamber with multiple nets clustered together for faster accumulation. The passive nature means you can set it and forget it—perfect for AFK fishing without the tedium of holding a rod.
