Solidified Horizons Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using this mod in my world?
The mod works automatically—structures like Jungle Villages and Pillager Towers spawn naturally as you explore. For crafting recipes, open your crafting table and look for new recipes like Name Tags and Chainmail Armor. Most features are ready to use without setup; just gather materials and start crafting.
How do fishing nets work and where do I place them?
Place a Fishing Net block directly into water (rivers, oceans, or any water source), and it will passively collect fish and items over time. You can retrieve items by breaking the net or waiting for it to accumulate catches.
What's the difference between a multitool and regular tools?
A multitool combines pickaxe, axe, shovel, and hoe functions into a single item, saving inventory space. Hold Shift while holding the multitool to use hoe actions on soil; otherwise it behaves like a pickaxe by default.
How do I make item frames invisible?
Hold Shift and right-click an item frame to toggle its visibility. The frame will still hold items but won't show the frame border, useful for clean displays and decorations.
Can I toggle armor stand arms on and off?
Yes—hold Shift and right-click an armor stand to add or remove arms. This lets you customize the pose without needing to craft a new stand.
What do the new enchantments do?
Harvest Touch replants crops automatically when broken, Leeching Blade restores health when hitting enemies, Sapping Strike restores hunger on attacks, and Restoration slowly repairs armor durability over time. These enchantments help automate farming and reduce resource consumption in combat.
How do I use the Redstone Wrench?
Right-click a block with the Redstone Wrench to rotate it toward you without breaking it. This is much faster than breaking and replacing blocks when building with directional blocks like stairs or pistons.
What can I cook or smoke to get new items?
Place rotten flesh on a campfire to dry it into leather, and smoke poisonous potatoes in a smoker to turn them back into normal potatoes. These conversions let you salvage otherwise useless items.
Does this mod change how vanilla survival feels?
No—the mod is designed to fit seamlessly into vanilla survival by adding quality-of-life features and missing recipes without altering core mechanics. All additions are optional to use.
What are daggers and how are they different from swords?
Daggers are faster melee weapons available in every tier from wood to netherite, trading some damage for speed. They're useful for hit-and-run combat or when you need quick attacks.
