Adjust Lighting Intensity to Reduce Eye Strain

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader configuration menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (typically accessed through your mod loader's settings or by pressing a hotkey like O or through the pause menu).

Modify Brightness and Contrast

Locate the Brightness slider in the main shader options. Reduce this value if the soft lighting feels too intense during long play sessions. This will dim the overall ambient light without removing the shader's stylized effect.

Next, find the Contrast setting and lower it slightly if you notice eye fatigue. Lower contrast softens the difference between lit and shadowed areas, creating a more uniform, comfortable visual experience.

Fine-Tune Bloom (if available)

If your shader version includes a Bloom or Glow option, reduce this value to minimize light halo effects around bright blocks and light sources. This helps prevent glare that can cause discomfort during extended sessions.

Test Your Changes

Walk through different environments—caves, forests, and open sky—to ensure your adjustments feel comfortable. Save your configuration once satisfied. You can always return to these settings if you want to restore the default aesthetic.
