Customize Footprint Appearance with Resource Packs

How Resource Packs Affect Imprints

Soft Imprints supports custom resource packs to change how footprints look visually. This lets you match imprints to your overall texture style or create unique track appearances.

Apply a Resource Pack

1. Ensure your resource pack is loaded in your world settings

2. The mod will automatically use textures from the pack if they're configured for imprints

3. Test how footprints render with the new appearance

Create Custom Imprint Textures

If you're familiar with resource pack creation, you can design custom footprint textures:

  • Design imprint graphics that match your aesthetic
  • Place them in the appropriate resource pack folder structure
  • Reload or restart to see your custom imprints in-game

Troubleshooting

If imprints don't appear with your resource pack, verify the texture files are in the correct location and properly named. Some packs may not include imprint textures, in which case the mod uses defaults.
