Configure Which Blocks Show Footprints

Access the Config Screen

Open the Soft Imprints config screen from your mod menu while in-game. You'll see a live preview of how changes affect your world in real time.

Add or Remove Block Types

The mod comes with built-in support for snow, snow layers, sand, and red sand. To customize which blocks receive imprints:

1. Locate the block list in the config

2. Add new soft blocks you want to track footprints on (such as powder snow, dirt, or custom blocks from other mods)

3. Remove blocks you don't want imprints on

4. Watch the preview update immediately to see footprints appear or disappear on those blocks

Save Your Settings

Confirm your changes to apply them permanently. The mod will remember your block preferences the next time you load the world.

Tips

If you're using custom resource packs, test your block choices to ensure imprints render clearly. Blocks with complex textures may show footprints less distinctly than simple surfaces.
