Soartex Fantastik Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on PBR textures?
PBR textures are included in the pack by default, but you need a shader that supports them to see the realistic lighting effects. Install a shader like Complementary or SEUS and enable it in your video settings—the pack's PBR data will then make

Make sure you're using a recent version of the pack, as bushy leaves are a core feature. If they still appear flat, check that your graphics settings aren't forcing leaf transparency off, and confirm the pack is actually loaded in your resource pack list.
Can I use this pack with Optifine?
Yes, the pack works with Optifine and benefits from its connected textures and shader support. However, for the best PBR experience, use a dedicated shader mod instead, as Optifine's PBR implementation is limited.
The pack is making my game lag. How do I fix it?
Disable shaders first to see if that's the bottleneck. If the pack itself is slow, lower your render distance, turn off 3D depth effects in your shader settings if available, or switch to a lighter shader designed for lower-end systems.
Do the 3D blocks work without shaders?
The 3D depth effects are most visible with shaders enabled, but the textures still look detailed without them. You'll see the texture mapping and improved detail, though the full 3D illusion requires shader parallax or depth mapping support.
Is this pack compatible with mods that add new blocks?
The pack includes textures for vanilla blocks and popular mod blocks, but newer or less common mods may show missing textures. Check if there's a separate mod compatibility patch available, or those blocks will use a default texture.
Why do some blocks look shiny and others don't?
That's the PBR system working—different blocks have different material properties, so metal and water reflect
light while stone and dirt absorb it. This is intentional and makes the world look more realistic.

Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use this pack on any server without the server needing to install it. Everyone will see the textures on their own computer if they have the pack loaded.
How do I get the best performance without losing quality?
Use a lightweight shader, lower your render distance to 12-16 chunks, and disable advanced shader features like ambient occlusion if needed. The pack's clean design means it runs well even at medium settings.
Do I need to change any game settings for the pack to work properly?
Set Mipmap Levels to at least 1 or 2 for better texture quality at distance, and make sure Mipmaps are enabled in your shader settings if using one. Beyond that, the pack works with default settings, though enabling a shader is strongly recommended.
