Do I need to do anything after installing the mod or does it just work?
The mod works automatically—just install it and weather will start converting to snow immediately. No commands or configuration needed unless you want to enable optional features like unlimited snow accumulation.
Will my old world turn into a frozen wasteland instantly?
Chunks that existed before you installed the mod will gradually freeze over time rather than instantly, so your base won't be buried overnight. New chunks generated after installation freeze immediately.
How do I stop snow from piling up everywhere?
Snow accumulation is limited by default and won't exceed a certain height. If you've enabled unlimited snow accumulation and want to disable it, use `/schedule clear snowy_weather:unlimited_snow_accumulation_height`.
Can I uninstall the mod without losing my world?
Yes, biomes will return to their original temperatures and weather patterns when you remove the mod. Any snow and ice blocks you've placed or that accumulated will remain in the world.
Why is my farm frozen and how do I unfreeze water?
All water freezes in the Overworld with this mod active, which blocks farming and fishing. You'll need to use heat sources like torches, campfires, or lava to thaw water in specific areas where you need it liquid.
Does snow fall in caves and the Nether?
No, underground areas like caves are completely unaffected by the mod, and other dimensions like the Nether and End remain unchanged. Only the Overworld surface gets the permanent winter effect.
Will this mod lag my server?
The mod itself is lightweight, but enabling unlimited snow accumulation can impact performance on large worlds or servers since snow will keep building up indefinitely. Keep this feature disabled if you're concerned about performance.
Can I keep my base snow-free without disabling the mod?
Yes, you can use roofs, slabs, or other blocks to prevent snow from landing on your base, or place heat sources nearby to melt accumulating snow. The mod doesn't force snow inside enclosed structures.
Does this mod work with other weather mods?
Compatibility depends on how other mods handle weather—this mod replaces all rain and thunderstorms with snow, so mods that modify those weather types may conflict. Test them together in a test world first.
What happens to deserts and jungles with this mod?
All biomes, including deserts and jungles, become cold enough for snow to fall and accumulate. These biomes will look completely different and behave like snowy regions.
