Making a Mob Trampoline and Drop Trap with Snad
Snad launches entities, not just players, which makes it a strong tool for moving mobs without redstone. You can build a trampoline that keeps mobs airborne, or a trap that drops them somewhere they cannot escape.
Building the Trampoline
Dig a pit and line the floor with Snad blocks. Lure or push mobs into the pit. Every time a mob lands, it gets thrown back up, so it stays trapped in the pit bouncing instead of climbing out. This is a low-effort way to hold mobs in one place while you deal with them.
Building the Drop Trap
Place a Snad block at the bottom of a shaft with a drop on one side. Mobs that land on the Snad get launched upward and can be directed into a chute or a fall that leads to a collection area. Because the launch is vertical, you want the exit positioned above the Snad so the mob drifts into it at the top of the bounce.
Keeping It Safe
Mobs can take fall damage from a tall bounce, so decide whether you want them alive or not before you build. If you need them alive, keep the bounce height low or add a soft landing. If you want them dead, a long drop after the launch does the job.
