Smaller Handhelds Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I know which version I have installed?
Load into a world and hold any weapon or tool in your hand. If it appears noticeably smaller than normal, you have the Full Version; if weapons and tools look regular-sized but items and blocks are smaller, you have the Standard Weapons & Tools version.
Can I switch between Full and Standard versions without reinstalling?
Yes, you can replace your resource pack file with the alternate version and restart your game—no need to reinstall the mod itself. Make sure to delete the old pack files from your resourcepacks folder first to avoid conflicts.
Why do my held items still look big after installing?
Check that the resource pack is actually enabled in your resource pack menu and ranked above any conflicting packs. If you're using the Standard version, remember that weapons and tools intentionally remain full-sized in that variant.
Does this work with other resource packs?
Yes, but place this pack lower in your resource pack list than packs you want to override it—higher packs take priority. If you notice visual conflicts, try reordering the packs or checking if the other pack also modifies held item sizes.
Will this affect how other players see my items in multiplayer?
No, resource packs only change what you see on your own screen; other players will see items at their normal size regardless of your pack settings.
Does smaller handhelds improve my FPS?
Resource packs don't typically impact performance since they only change textures and models, not game logic. You should see no FPS difference from installing this pack.
Can I use this with mods that add new items?
This pack resizes vanilla items and blocks; new items from other mods will remain their default size unless the mod's creator has specifically designed compatibility with this pack.
Does the smaller size affect my ability to see item details?
The pack maintains all original design and detail fidelity while reducing size, so you shouldn't lose visual information—items are just less obstructive on your screen.
How do I uninstall this pack?
Go to your resource pack menu in-game, find the pack, and click the trash icon or move it out of your resourcepacks folder, then restart your game.
Which version should I choose if I want everything smaller?
Use the Full Version, which reduces the size of all items, blocks, weapons, and tools; choose Standard Weapons & Tools only if you prefer weapons and tools to remain vanilla-sized.
