How to Make the Totem Pop Animation Smaller and Lower on Your Screen

What the pack actually changes

When a Totem of Undying saves you, vanilla Minecraft plays a large totem sprite that expands across the middle of your screen. This resource pack replaces that animation with a smaller version and shifts it downward, so the effect sits near the bottom of your view instead of covering the center. You do not configure this in a menu — the change is baked into the pack's texture and animation files, so it applies automatically once the pack is active.

Confirming it is working

1. Make sure the pack is enabled in your resource pack list and sits above any other pack that also edits the totem pop texture.

2. Enter a world where you can safely take fatal damage while holding a Totem of Undying — a creative test world or a private survival world works well.

3. Trigger a totem save and watch the animation. You should see a noticeably smaller totem effect appearing lower on the screen rather than a large centered burst.

4. If the animation still looks vanilla-sized, another resource pack is overriding it. Drag this pack to the top of the list and test again.

Why the position matters

The downward shift keeps the center of your screen readable during the save, which is the part of the view you rely on for aiming and tracking opponents. The smaller size also reduces how much of your peripheral vision the effect eats up.
