Small Totem Pop Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I make the totem pop animation smaller?
Enable the Small Totem Pop resource pack in your resource pack list so it sits above the default pack. The pack replaces the totem pop animation file, so no settings or config changes are needed.
Why is the totem pop still covering my whole screen?
Another resource pack is likely overriding the totem animation file because it sits above Small Totem Pop in the pack list. Move Small Totem Pop to the top of your enabled packs so it takes priority.
Does Small Totem Pop work in PvP?
Yes, that is its main purpose. The smaller, lower animation keeps your crosshair and surroundings visible when totems pop during fights, so you can keep tracking your opponent.
Is Small Totem Pop allowed on multiplayer servers?
It is a client-side resource pack, so it only changes what you see and does not affect gameplay or give unfair advantages. Most servers allow it, but check your server's rules if unsure.
Does this pack affect performance or FPS?
It only swaps a single animation texture, so the performance impact is negligible. If anything, a smaller animation means less of your screen is covered during fights.
Can I use Small Totem Pop with other resource packs?
Yes, it works alongside most packs. Just make sure Small Totem Pop is placed above any pack that also changes the totem animation, or the other pack will win.
Does Small Totem Pop change the totem item itself?
No, it only changes the pop animation that plays when a totem saves you. The Totem of Undying item icon and model stay the same.
How do I test if the pack is actually working?
Trigger a totem save in a safe test world, like with a command or a controlled fall, and watch the animation. If the effect is small and sits lower on your screen, the pack is active.
Will this pack work on a server if I'm the only one using it?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so only you see the smaller animation. Other players will still see the normal totem pop on their own screens.
Why does the animation look different after I added another pack?
A newly added pack that also edits the totem animation is probably above Small Totem Pop in your list. Drag Small Totem Pop back to the top to restore the smaller animation.
