Maintaining Visibility While Using Large Tools
Why Large Tools Block Your View
Vanilla Minecraft scales held items and weapons prominently on screen. Swords, axes, and pickaxes can obscure a significant portion of your view, especially during combat or when navigating tight spaces. This makes it harder to track enemies, see where you're building, or notice environmental hazards.
How Small Items+ Helps
By scaling down all held item models proportionally, Small Items+ keeps your tools functional and recognizable while freeing up screen space. You'll still see your equipped item clearly enough to know what you're holding, but it won't dominate your field of view.
Best Practices
- In combat: The reduced tool size lets you track mob movements and player positions more easily.
- While building: You gain better perspective on your structure and surrounding terrain.
- During exploration: Smaller items mean you can spot caves, structures, and mobs from further away.
The resource pack maintains vanilla art style and proportions, so your tools remain instantly recognizable despite their reduced size.
