Organize Tools for Quick Switching Between Tasks

Plan Your Tool Columns

Decide which tools you switch between most often—for example, pickaxe, axe, and shovel. Assign each tool its own hotbar slot (like slots 2, 3, and 4), then stack related tools vertically in the same column above each hotbar slot.

Stack Tools in Your Inventory

Place your primary pickaxe in hotbar slot 2. Above it in your main inventory, add a second pickaxe or a different mining tool. Repeat this for your other tool slots.

Cycle While Building or Mining

Select your active tool slot and use:

• G to cycle to the next tool in that column
• H to cycle backward
• Alt + mouse wheel for smooth cycling

The visual indicator shows what tool is next, so you can plan your next action. This workflow is especially useful during building projects where you frequently switch between breaking blocks and placing them.
