How to Create a Custom Skybox Resource Pack for Skyboxify

Skyboxify reads skyboxes from resource packs, so your first step is building a pack folder structure the game will recognize. Create a folder for your pack, add a pack.mcmeta file inside it, and then create the assets/minecraft/optifine/sky folder path where skybox definitions live. This mirrors the OptiFine layout, which is why existing OptiFine sky packs drop in without conversion.

Adding Your Skybox Files

Place your sky texture images into that sky folder. Skyboxify expects the same naming and layout conventions OptiFine uses, so a single large panorama or a set of face textures both work depending on how you define the skybox. Reference your textures from a skybox properties file in the same folder.

Defining the Skybox

In the properties file, point each face or the panorama reference at your texture files and set the basic skybox options such as blending and rotation. Save everything, then enable the pack in-game through the resource pack menu.

Testing

Load a world and look up. If the sky does not change, double-check that your folder path matches exactly and that the pack is actually enabled above the default pack in the list. Fixing a single typo in the path is the most common repair.
