Making Skyblock Dark UI Readable on Low-Brightness Monitors
Why Dark UI Can Look Muddy
A dark interface shines in dim rooms, but on a low-brightness or poorly calibrated monitor the darker tones can blur together, making buttons and bars hard to distinguish. A few tweaks fix this without abandoning the theme.
Adjust In-Game Settings
1. Go to Options → Video Settings and raise Brightness slightly — this affects world lighting, not the HUD, but it reduces eye strain when switching between a bright world and a dark menu.
2. Turn GUI Scale up one notch. Larger UI elements make the contrast between dark panels and lighter text easier to read.
3. Disable any fullscreen post-processing shaders temporarily to check whether they're washing out the HUD.
Monitor and System Tweaks
- Bump your monitor's contrast rather than brightness; dark themes benefit more from contrast.
- On Windows, enable a night-light filter only if it doesn't tint the dark grays toward yellow.
- If text still blends in, pair Skyblock Dark UI with a font or text-shadow pack — but keep it *below* Skyblock Dark UI in the load order so the dark panels stay on top.
Test in a cave or at night, where the dark UI is meant to perform best.
