Skyblock Dark UI Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the dark UI after installing the pack?
Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move Skyblock Dark UI from the left column to the right column so it sits above any pack you want it to override. Click Done and the menus, hotbar, and HUD should switch to the dark theme immediately.
Why is only part of my UI dark and the rest still vanilla?
Another resource pack is loading above Skyblock Dark UI and overwriting those specific textures. Drag Skyblock Dark UI to the top of the selected list, or remove the conflicting pack, so its GUI files take priority.
Does this pack change my blocks, items, or gameplay?
No, it only replaces GUI and HUD textures, so blocks, items, mobs, and mechanics stay exactly the same. You can add or remove it at any time without affecting your world or inventory.
Can I use Skyblock Dark UI together with a full texture pack like a 32x or 64x pack?
Yes, as long as the other pack doesn't heavily retexture the GUI. Place Skyblock Dark UI above the full pack so its dark menus win, and the higher-resolution blocks and items from the other pack still show through.
Will this pack hurt my FPS or cause lag on a Skyblock server?
No, it's lightweight and only swaps small GUI textures, so it has essentially no performance cost. If you do notice lag, it's almost always coming from shaders or other packs, not this one.
Why does my hotbar or health bar look wrong after enabling the pack?
A HUD-modifying pack or mod is probably overriding those elements. Either move Skyblock Dark UI above it in the resource pack list, or disable the other pack's HUD option so the dark versions load.
The dark UI is hard to read on my dim monitor — what can I do?
Turn up your monitor brightness or in-game brightness first, since the pack intentionally uses low-contrast dark tones. If text is still hard to see, pair it with a font or high-contrast HUD pack loaded above it.
Does Skyblock Dark UI work on a multiplayer Skyblock server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so it works on any server including Skyblock ones. Just make sure the server isn't forcing its own resource pack that overrides your GUI, or set your pack to load above it.
Can I use this with shaders?
Yes, shaders affect world lighting and rendering, not the GUI, so they don't conflict with this pack. If your shader pack includes its own HUD overlay, load Skyblock Dark UI above it to keep the dark theme.
How do I remove or temporarily disable the dark UI?
Go back to Options, then Resource Packs, and move Skyblock Dark UI from the right column back to the left, or just click it to deselect. The vanilla UI returns instantly without needing to restart the game.
