How to Obtain Mobs, Items, and Advancements in Sky Void Additions SkyBlock

The Core Idea

Sky Void Additions exists to make a void world fully completable. Vanilla SkyBlock normally blocks you from mobs that need specific biomes or structures, items that only drop from those mobs, and advancements tied to both. This data pack adds vanilla-like mechanics so every item, mob, and advancement becomes reachable. The exact method varies per feature, so treat the config menu as your index of what's available.

Finding the Right Mechanic

Open the config menu with /function skyvoid_additions:customize/update_config/open_menu and read through the enabled entries. Each one corresponds to a conversion, spawn condition, or crafting path that substitutes for a vanilla source. For example, amethyst geodes are recreated by surrounding packed ice with lava, and Nether access comes from netherrack or nylium portal frames instead of obsidian. Other entries cover mob spawning and item acquisition in similar vanilla-flavored ways.

Structure Bounding Boxes Matter

Many of these mechanics check for structure bounding boxes to know where to act. If your map or data pack doesn't generate them, features can fail silently. Standard SkyBlock maps include the needed boxes; bare custom void worlds may not. If a mechanic is enabled but nothing happens, confirm your map supplies the bounding boxes before troubleshooting further. Work through the menu category by category to unlock full progression.
