Set Up Your First Cobblestone Generator

Gather Your Starting Materials

Open your starting chest and collect the ice and lava blocks inside. These are your foundation for infinite cobblestone—a resource you'll need constantly for building and expanding.

Build the Generator

Find a safe spot on your main island away from edges. Place the lava block, then position the ice block so that flowing lava meets the ice. When lava contacts ice, it hardens into cobblestone. You can now mine this cobblestone repeatedly as it regenerates.

Optimize for Safety

Build a small protective wall or frame around your generator to prevent accidental knockback into the void. Keep the area well-lit to avoid mobs spawning nearby. Consider placing your generator near your base so you can easily access cobblestone without traveling far.

Expand as Needed

Once you're comfortable with one generator, you can create additional ones to speed up cobblestone collection. Store your mined blocks in a chest nearby so you always have materials ready for bridge building.
