Build Safe Bridges to Distant Islands
Plan Your Route
Before building, identify which island you want to reach. Look for the closest target to minimize resource use. Estimate the distance and gather enough slabs—they're safer than full blocks because mobs can't spawn on half-height surfaces.
Construct Step by Step
Start from your island's edge and place slabs in a line toward your target. Work slowly and deliberately; falling into the void means losing all your items. Place slabs at eye level or slightly below so you can see where you're going. Build in short segments and pause to collect yourself.
Add Railings for Security
Once your main path is complete, add walls or fences on both sides. This prevents accidental knockback from mobs or your own mistakes. A two-block-high wall gives you protection while still allowing visibility.
Test Before Committing
Walk your bridge fully loaded with supplies before making the final push to a new island. Ensure every block is solid and the path is clear of obstacles.
