Load a Skin from a File or URL

Loading from a Local File

If you have a skin image saved on your computer:

1. Open the SkinChanger menu

2. Select the "Skin from file" option

3. Browse to your skin file (typically a .png image)

4. Select it and confirm

5. Your new skin applies immediately

Loading from a URL

To use a skin hosted online:

1. Open the SkinChanger menu

2. Select the "Skin from URL" option

3. Paste the direct link to the skin image

4. Click confirm

5. The mod downloads and applies the skin

Tips for Success

  • Skin files must be valid Minecraft skin format (typically 64×64 or 64×32 PNG images)
  • URLs must point directly to the image file, not a webpage
  • The mod caches downloaded skins, so they load faster on repeat use
  • Test your skin with "Preview Skin" first if available

Both methods are client-side only—other players won't see your custom skin unless they also have the mod.
