Change Skins Using a Player UUID

Finding and Using a Player UUID

If a player name is ambiguous or you want to target a specific account, use their UUID instead.

1. Obtain the player's UUID (available from Minecraft name lookup websites or player profiles)

2. Open the SkinChanger menu

3. Select the "Skin from player UUID" option

4. Paste or type the UUID in the text box

5. Click "Confirm Skin" to apply

Why Use UUID?

UUIDs are unique identifiers that never change, even if a player renames their account. This is useful when:

  • Multiple players have similar usernames
  • A player has changed their name recently
  • You want to ensure you're getting the exact player's skin

Command Alternative

You can also use the command line:

  • Type /skin uuid:playername or /skin [UUID] depending on mod version
  • The skin applies instantly

UUIDs are long strings of numbers and letters (example: 550e8400-e29b-41d4-a716-446655440000). Like all SkinChanger changes, only you see the result.
