Add and Equip a Cape

Enabling a Cape from Optifine

SkinChanger lets you use capes from other players, including their Optifine capes.

1. Open the SkinChanger menu

2. Click the "Add cape" button

3. A cape should appear behind your character

4. You can now toggle the cape on and off using the cape controls in the menu

Loading a Cape from File or URL

If you have a custom cape file or URL:

1. Open the SkinChanger menu

2. Look for cape loading options (File or URL input)

3. Select your cape source and confirm

4. The cape will attach to your character

Important Notes

• Only you see the cape you apply—other players see your original appearance
• You can turn capes on and off without reloading
• Use /cape command as a shortcut: /cape playername to grab another player's Optifine cape

Capes are purely cosmetic and don't affect gameplay.
