Pair SketchRender with Embeddium for Chunk Culling

Install Embeddium Alongside SketchRender

Chunk culling — hiding terrain chunks your camera can't see — requires both SketchRender Mod and Embeddium installed together. Embeddium is a rendering engine replacement that works with SketchRender's culling system.

Requirements

Chunk culling needs OpenGL 4.6 or newer. Check that your graphics card meets this requirement before expecting chunk culling to activate.

How It Works

Once both mods are installed:

1. Load your world

2. The mod automatically detects Embeddium and enables chunk culling

3. Terrain chunks behind solid blocks, mountains, or outside your view won't be processed by your GPU

4. Your processor handles less work because visibility calculations happen on your graphics card

Performance Impact

This combination is most effective for players with strong graphics cards but older CPUs. You'll notice smoother gameplay in open areas and when looking at complex terrain. The benefit depends on your world's terrain complexity and draw distance.
