How to Sit on Stairs and Slabs in Sit Mod

Making a Seat

Sitting is the core feature of this mod, and it works on almost any stair or slab block you place in the world.

1. Place a stair or slab block where you want your seat to be. This can be a single block on the ground or part of a larger furniture build.

2. Make sure your main hand is empty. If you are holding a block or tool, the right-click will place or use that item instead of seating you.

3. Aim your crosshair at the top surface of the stair or slab, not the side.

4. Right-click. Your character will snap into a seated position on the block.

Standing Back Up

To leave your seat, press the key you normally use to exit a minecart. By default this is SHIFT (sneak). You will stand up in place, so make sure there is room above and around you.

If right-clicking does nothing, check that your hand is truly empty and that you are pointing at the top face of the block. Holding any item will block the sit action.
