How to Fix Sit Mod Not Working and Adjust Sit Reach

Right-Click Does Nothing

If you cannot sit, work through these checks in order:

1. Empty your main hand. Holding any item prevents the sit action.

2. Aim at the top face of the stair, slab, or half-bed, not the side or bottom.

3. Check the block type. Only stairs, slabs, and half-beds are supported. Full blocks will not work.

4. Multiplayer: the mod must be installed on both the server and your client. If only one side has it, sitting will not function.

Adjusting How Far You Can Sit

Sit Mod has a configuration option called block_reach_distance. This controls how far away from a block you can be and still sit on it. If you find you have to stand very close to a seat, or you want to sit from further back, edit this value in the config file and reload.

Other Things to Try

• Move away from redstone components, buttons, or chests near your seat, since they can intercept right-clicks.
• Make sure nothing is occupying the space your character needs when standing up.
• If a modded stair or slab will not seat you, it may not be supported by the mod's block detection.
