How to Build Chairs and Sofas You Can Actually Sit On

Turning Decor Into Furniture

Players often build chairs and couches out of stairs and slabs, but without this mod you can only look at them. With Sit Mod installed, those decorative builds become usable furniture.

1. Build your chair or sofa shape using stairs and slabs. A common chair is a single stair with the tall side acting as a backrest.

2. For a sofa, line up several slabs or stairs in a row so multiple players can sit side by side.

3. Leave the top faces of the seating blocks exposed so players can aim at them.

Seating Multiple Players

Each seating block is independent, so a row of slabs works like a bench. In multiplayer, every player can right-click their own block and sit at the same time, as long as the mod is installed on both the server and each client.

Tips for Good Builds

• Keep the seat height consistent so seated players line up neatly.
• Avoid placing torches, buttons, or other right-clickable blocks directly on the seating surface, since they can steal your right-click.
• Test each seat by right-clicking with an empty hand before decorating around it.
