Recover from Death Without Losing Stolen Abilities

The Death Penalty Risk

Normally, when you die while piloting a stolen body, you lose all the locked abilities you've carried into that host. This can set back your progression significantly if you've invested time locking powerful techniques.

Enabling Death Penalty Protection

Use the gamerule noBrainTransplantDeathPenalty to prevent losing stolen abilities when dying. This allows you to experiment with new hosts and take more risks in combat without fear of losing your locked technique collection.

Strategic Use

Enable this gamerule if you're still learning how to manage possession penalties or testing new ability combinations. Disable it for hardcore survival modes where death should carry real consequences.

Planning Around Death

Even with this protection enabled, dying still removes you from your current host body. You'll need to defeat another target to regain a physical form. Use this time to reassess your locked abilities and plan your next possession strategy.
