Sinister Soul Swap Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I start using Brain Transplant?
Defeat a sorcerer or player in battle, then activate your primary ability to hijack their fallen body. You'll immediately take control of their physical form and can begin locking their abilities for future use.
What happens if I die while possessing a stolen body?
By default, you lose all locked abilities you've collected from that host. Use the `/gamerule noBrainTransplantDeathPenalty` command to prevent this loss if you want to keep your stolen techniques after dying.
Can I lock more than 5 abilities from one host?
No, you can lock a maximum of 5 abilities per host to carry into future vessels. Choose your locked skills carefully based on the ability combinations you want to build.
What is Brain Overheat and how do I avoid it?
Brain Overheat triggers when you hold 4 cursed techniques at once, reducing your energy recovery by 40%. Manage your active techniques by removing or swapping out abilities before reaching this threshold.
Why am I dealing less damage and using more energy in a stolen body?
Possessed vessels have inherent penalties: 20% reduced damage output and 60% increased energy consumption. This is the mental tax of controlling a foreign body, so plan your energy usage accordingly.
Does Brain Transplant work on players with Heavenly Restriction?
No, you cannot possess players who have Heavenly Restriction active. You'll need to target a different sorcerer or player instead.
What's different about possessing Ultimate Mechamaru?
Instead of taking the standard 20% damage penalty, possessing Mechamaru increases your ability cooldowns by 20%. Plan your ability rotations differently when controlling this host.
Why do my locked Copy ability and combo abilities have cooldown penalties?
Locked Copy now activates on direct player hits instead of Rika hits, and matching combo abilities placed in the same hotbar trigger cooldown penalties between uses. Spread complementary abilities across different hotbar slots to minimize downtime.
What happens to the body I just left?
The defeated body briefly lingers on the ground after you possess a new host, giving you a moment to see the transition before it disappears.
Can I test possession without defeating someone first?
Yes, use the `/cursedfate BrainTransplant ` command to simulate possessing a player with a specific technique, or `/cursedfate BrainTransplantCopy ` to test locked Copy behavior.
