Simply Light: Colour Variants
Choosing a Colour
Most Simply Light edge lights are coloured. The available colours follow the standard Minecraft dye palette: black, blue, brown, cyan, gray, green, light blue, light gray, lime, magenta, orange, and the remaining dye colours in the same set. Each colour exists as both a bottom and a top edge light, matching the two orientations described for the plain variant.
Because colour and orientation are separate choices, you pick the shade you want and then the edge you want it on. A coloured edge light does not change how the block is placed; it only changes the tint of the light strip.
These coloured strips are intended for detail work, such as tracing the rim of a platform or marking a path in a specific colour. Use the plain Dynamic Edge Light when you want the light itself to stay neutral and let the surrounding build carry the colour.
