why does simple voice chat show a plug icon instead of connecting?
The plug icon means the mod can't reach the voice chat server, usually because the required UDP port isn't open or forwarded. Make sure the port is open on the server and that clients aren't blocked by a firewall.
how do i create a group chat in simple voice chat?
Open the voice chat GUI with the keybind, go to the Groups tab, and click Create Group. You can set a password so only players who know it can join, and group members can talk regardless of distance.

why can't other players hear me in simple voice chat?
Check that your microphone is selected correctly in the voice chat settings and use the microphone test to confirm it's picking up audio. Also make sure you're not muted in-game and that you're within proximity range or in the same group.
how do i use the whisper function?
