Simple Voice Chat Discord Bridge Mod FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I start using the mod after installing it?
First, set up a Discord bot through the Discord Developer Portal and add its token to your mod config file. Then use /dvc start in-game to connect to a Discord voice channel—the mod will tell you which channel to join on Discord.
Can Bedrock players on Geyser use this mod?
Yes, that's one of the main features. Bedrock players connecting through Geyser can join voice chat by connecting to the Discord voice channel, even though they don't have the mod installed.
What's the difference between Normal, Open, and Isolated groups?
Normal groups let you hear nearby players, but they can't hear you back. Open groups let everyone nearby hear each other regardless of group membership. Isolated groups are completely private—only members can speak and listen to each other.
How many people can connect through Discord at the same time?
Each bot in your config file allows one person to connect through Discord simultaneously. Add more bots to your configuration if you need more concurrent Discord connections.
Do voice groups disappear when everyone leaves?
By default, yes. When you create a group, you can set it as persistent using /dvc group create [password] [type] persistent, which keeps it on the server even after all members leave.
What does whisper mode do?
Whisper mode lets you have private conversations by toggling it with /dvc togglewhisper. When active, only specific people hear you instead of everyone in your group or nearby.
Can I password-protect my voice groups?
Yes, use /dvc group create to set a password when creating a group. Other players will need to know the password to join.
Where do I find my Discord voice channel ID?
Turn on Developer Mode in Discord settings, then right-click the voice channel you want to use and select "Copy ID". Paste this ID into your mod config file.
What happens if I use /dvc stop while in a group?
Using /dvc stop ends your voice chat session with Discord. You'll remain in your in-game group but won't be connected to Discord anymore—use /dvc start to reconnect.
Can I see who's in my current group?
Use /dvc group info to see details about the group you're currently in, including who else is a member.
