Lead Multiple Villagers at Once

Gathering Your Group

Hold an emerald or emerald block in your hand. All nearby villagers will look toward you and begin following. Unlike single-villager luring, multiple villagers can follow you simultaneously, making this ideal for moving entire groups to a new trading hall or village area.

Managing the Group

Villagers maintain a safe distance from each other while following, so they won't bunch up or suffocate. Walk at a steady pace—moving too quickly may cause stragglers to fall behind, especially over difficult terrain. If villagers stop following, check that you still have the emerald or emerald block equipped in your main hand.

Tips for Success

• Clear your path of obstacles before leading a large group
• Use torches or markers to light your route, especially at night
• Lead villagers through open areas rather than narrow passages
• If someone joins your world on a multiplayer server, they can also hold emeralds to lead villagers independently
