Use Simple Swap with Different Tools

Tool Compatibility

Simple Swap works with any tool in your main hand. You can swap blocks while holding a pickaxe, shovel, axe, or even shears—the mod doesn't restrict which tools work.

Choosing Your Setup

Decide whether to hold your tool in the main hand and swap block in offhand, or vice versa:

• Tool in main hand: Better for breaking blocks quickly; swap block goes in offhand
• Swap block in main hand: Useful if you're breaking blocks by hand and want faster placement

Breaking Blocks Correctly

Make sure you're using the right tool for the job. Using a pickaxe on stone is faster than breaking it by hand, even with Simple Swap active. The mod speeds up placement, not breaking speed.

The swap block places itself regardless of what tool you're holding, so focus on efficient breaking techniques to maximize your overall speed.
