Troubleshoot Swaps That Aren't Working

Check Your Key Binding

Verify that you're holding down the correct Simple Swap key. The default is Left Alt, but it may be rebound in your mod settings. Check your controls menu to confirm the active keybind.

Verify You Have a Block to Swap

Make sure you're actually holding the block you want to place—either in your main hand or offhand. If your inventory slot is empty, nothing will swap.

Confirm the Block Can Be Placed

Some blocks cannot be placed in certain locations (like torches on air, or blocks that require specific surfaces). Try swapping with a basic block like dirt or stone to test if the mechanic works.

Check Server Rules

If you're on a multiplayer server, the mod may be disabled or restricted by the server owner. Ask your server admin if Simple Swap is allowed.

Test in Single Player

If multiplayer swaps fail, test the mod in a single-player world to isolate whether it's a server restriction or a mod configuration issue.
