Swap Blocks in Offhand While Holding a Tool

Offhand Swapping Setup

Simple Swap works with blocks held in your offhand, making it ideal when your main hand is occupied with a tool.

How to Do It

1. Hold your tool (pickaxe, shovel, axe, etc.) in your main hand

2. Place the block you want to swap into your offhand slot

3. Hold down the Simple Swap key (default: Left Alt)

4. Break the target block with your tool

5. Your offhand block automatically places itself

Why Use Offhand?

This setup is faster for building because you never need to switch away from your tool. You can continuously break and replace blocks without manual inventory management.

Practical Example

When replacing stone bricks in a structure, hold your pickaxe in the main hand and new bricks in offhand. Break and swap in one smooth motion, keeping your workflow uninterrupted.
