Switch Between Optional Packs Without Restarting

Accessing the Pack Menu

Optional packs placed in resources/resourcepack/optional/ and resources/datapack/optional/ can be toggled in-game. Open your pause menu and look for resource or data pack settings.

Enabling and Disabling Packs

Navigate to the appropriate pack menu (resource packs or data packs depending on what you want to change). You'll see a list of available optional packs. Click or select a pack to toggle it on or off. The change takes effect immediately for resource packs in most cases.

Data Pack Changes

For data packs, toggling may require a world reload or server restart depending on what the pack modifies. Simple changes like loot tables update quickly; changes to world generation may need a full restart.

Organization Tip

Keep your optional packs clearly named so you can identify them easily in the menu. Avoid placing packs in the required/ folders if you want the flexibility to disable them later.
