Set Up Your First Resource Pack

Creating the Folder Structure

When you launch Minecraft with Simple Resource Loader Mod installed, the mod automatically creates a resources/ folder in your game directory. If it doesn't appear, create it manually.

Navigate to resources/resourcepack/required/ and create a new folder for your resource pack. This is where your textures, models, and sounds will live.

Adding Your Pack Contents

Inside your new folder, create the standard resource pack structure:

  • assets/ folder (contains textures, models, and sounds)
  • pack.mcmeta file (metadata file describing your pack)

You can copy these from an existing resource pack or create them from scratch following Minecraft's resource pack format.

Loading Your Pack

Place your completed pack folder in resources/resourcepack/required/. The mod will automatically load it when you start the game—no manual enabling needed. If you want optional packs instead, use resources/resourcepack/optional/ and toggle them in-game.

Test by checking that your textures or sounds appear correctly in-game.
