Craft Your First Orbital Strike Rod

Gathering Materials

Before crafting, you'll need a fishing rod and TNT. Fishing rods drop from fishing or can be crafted with sticks and string. TNT is made from gunpowder and sand in a checkerboard pattern. You'll need significant quantities—prepare multiple stacks.

Crafting a Nuke Shot Rod

Place your fishing rod in the center of a crafting table. Surround it completely with 8 stacks of TNT (one in each surrounding slot). This creates a Nuke Shot rod that calls down a massive explosive blast from above.

Crafting a Stab Shot Rod

For a more focused strike, place the fishing rod in the center and arrange 4 stacks of TNT in a plus/cross pattern (above, below, left, and right of the rod). This creates a Stab Shot rod that rains a vertical column of explosions.

Using Your Rod

Once crafted, hold the rod and aim your crosshair at any block within 200 blocks. Right-click to trigger the strike. Each rod has limited durability—it will break after multiple uses, so craft spares in advance for extended demolition work.
